Snake Classic Hack: How to Hack the Game with Python and Tensorboard

A fire snake, also referred to as a black snake or sugar snake, is a classic science experiment you can do right in your own kitchen using a baking soda and sugar mixture and a fuel to ignite the reaction.

When the baking soda gets hot, it makes carbon dioxide gas. The pressure from this gas pushes the carbonate from the burning sugar out, producing the snake reminiscent of popular intumescent fireworks.

This food-based chemistry experiment is not to be confused with the carbon snake, which uses concentrated sulfuric acid instead of baking soda. In either case, don't eat the resulting snake, and only touch it once it has cooled completely.

To make your own fire snake at home like in the video above, you'll need 10 grams of baking soda (sodium bicarbonate), 40 grams of sugar, and some type of fuel and a container to house the reaction in.

As mentioned before, when the mixture burns, the baking soda gets hot, and it decomposes to release carbon dioxide gas. A lack of oxygen in the sugar from the combustion creates carbonate and water vapor. The pressure from the CO2 gas pushes this carbonate out to form the snake, which should continue growing for 20 minutes, give or take.

The programmer, who goes by kgsws, said he was able to sneak a snake made of little skulls into Doom by finding a vulnerability in the way Doom 2 and Ultimate Doom load saved games, which allowed him to run custom code inside the game.

Kgsws published this inventive project on GitHub, meaning anyone can download and run it, provided they have a computer with the old operating system DOS or a DOS emulator. What's more, the programmer also published techniques on how to exploit two other bugs that allow hackers and programmers to customize and modify Doom in several different ways.

"I wanted to make the Snake with a twist. I know it was already done. But if you imagine Snake, you might expect [it] to move in four different directions. In my code you have to steer the snake like a car," kgsws said.

In Powerline.io, players are trying to become as large of a snake as they can. Instead of growing your snake by eating apples though, players are gaining length by destroying other snakes and eating the neon bits that they are made of. If you love the fast-paced gameplay and the reactions that are required of Snake, then you should definitely give Powerline.io a try.

Impossible Snake 2 is kind of like if Snake became a puzzle game. In Impossible Snake 2, players must slither back and forth in an attempt to eat all of the apples on the map and get to the exit. However, it is not as simple as it sounds. You must get pasts objects and ghosts blocking your way, as well as deal with a snake that refuses to slow down.

Master the sharp turns. A good trick to have under your belt as you play snake is being able to turn on a dime. Since the snake is so speedy, crashing can happen before you can react. The more you play, try to master those sharp turns to narrowly escape hitting a wall.

Be patient. It can be tempting to grab the apples as fast as you can, but if you narrowly miss an apple, it's better to wait until your snake tail has moved away from it before going in for another pass.

Hug the wall. As you play snake, your tail will keep growing and growing with every apple you eat. An easy trick to avoid crashing into the walls or your tail is to trace the perimeter of the screen. This keeps the rest of the field open and easy to navigate.

To provide some context, this reader is a fan of the classic arcade game snake (shown above). This game is hard: as your snake grows, it requires an increasing amount of concentration to avoid twisting back on yourself and ending the round.

Similar to our reader from above losing his ability to play snake at a high level, your ability to write/code/strategize at a high level is significantly diminished every time you let your attention drift.

There are old accounts from the 9th century (by Adi Shankara), the 14th century (by Ibn Battuta), and the 17th century (by the Mughal Emperor Jahangir) of versions of the trick, but this is denied by Lamont as the accounts described are different from the "classic" Indian rope trick.[3]

Lamont also claimed that no mention appears in writing before the 1890 article. He argued that Ibn Battuta did report a magic trick with a thong, and Jahangir with a chain, not a rope, and the tricks they described are different from the "classic" Indian rope trick. He said that the descriptions of the trick in Yule's editions (1870s) of Marco Polo's book are not in the body of the work, but in a footnote by Yule, and only refer to these non-classic accounts.[3]

Snake '97 isn't some revolutionary game that you've never played. Rather, it's a classic game that you've probably played a million times on the toilet. But what separates Snake '97 is its degree of nostalgia, complete with a dot-matrix display, monotone sounds, and retro-looking cell phone overlays complete with number-pad controls.

The game is pretty self-explanatory. Your objective, as the snake, is to eat the square and continue growing. If you want to switch the overlay to something more recognizable, simply tap the display. You'll have speed, volume, and overlay options.

My project is an amalgamation of not one, but five classic arcade games with modern twists. I have added classic and custom-built graphics to give them that retro feel. Also, dynamic scoring engaging elements to gameplay. This project is also hosted online, which makes it accessible to any gamer, anywhere. The games are as follows:

A single game is exciting to make, so making five of them is certainly a momentous occasion.I am super proud to make custom game engines for each gam. Also,I learnt a lot of skills through this hackathon, which will be useful going forward. 2ff7e9595c
